Sermons For You
In the time of the coronavirus pandemic we launch a new page: Sermons For You. This page will evolve over time, bear with us as we grow. We began with 2 Easter Sermons. Both highlighted our hope born with the Good News of the Resurrection proclaimed on Easter Day. The sermon of Rev. Kaulbach Miles speaks to breathing in the Spirit.
For Episcopalians, "The sermon is to "break open" the Word of God and proclaim the gospel in the context of the readings from scripture, the liturgical occasion, the congregation gathered, and the pastoral needs of the situation. The Christian story, the congregation's story, and the preacher's story can be the one story of God's love that is proclaimed in the sermon. A short sermon is often called a 'homily.'" bit.ly/Learn141 from An Episcopal Glossary of Terms
