Church Connections
St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church is a Mission Congregation of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego. The Diocese is part of Province VIII (a regional collection of dioceses) and The Episcopal Church (formed in Convention in 1789 and now extending into all 50 States, and beyond). The Episcopal Church is a member of the Worldwide Anglican Communion of which the Church of England (established in 597 by Augustine of Canterbury, 1534 by King Henry VIII and finally 1558 by Queen Elizabeth I) is the "Mother Church." Our beginning, as with all Christian churches, is in the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as shared by the Apostles.
