Church Connections
St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church is a Mission Congregation of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego. The Diocese is part of Province VIII (a regional collection of dioceses) and The Episcopal Church (formed in Convention in 1789 and now extending into all 50 States, and beyond). The Episcopal Church bishops trace their succession from the Scottish Episcopal bishops consecration of Samuel Seabury, the first bishop of the Episcopal Church in the USA in 1784. which was one of the events which shaped the Anglican Communion as a family of independent provinces.
