Called to love others as we are loved by Jesus takes us beyond church walls into the mountain communities, into Riverside and San Diego Counties, into the state, the nation, and the world.
The people of St. Hugh's support the local Idyllwild Help Center with donations of food for the pantry. Every week members are invited to bring food to share. Every week food to share appears as part of our Sunday Offering.
Every week—from 11am to 1pm on Thursday—we offer our "Caring Community Lunch" to all who show up at the table. It is our way of giving back to the Mountain Communities. All are welcome at the table.
Intercessory Prayer—praying for others, praying with others—is a vital ministry for and with "our neighbor" in our congregation and beyond our congregation. If you have a prayer request please use our Prayer Request Page and we will add our prayers to yours.
"For small-scale farmers whose land is too poor to accommodate livestock, your gift can literally transform lives. Provide bees, apiary training and a whole new source of income through the sale of honey and beeswax." — "Bees and Honey" ERD
The people of St. Hugh's continue to support the many ways that Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) works to "heal a hurting world."
This year our congregation has chosen to give honey bees, a "Gift for Life," through ERD. For every $55.00 our congregation gives, one person (one family) can receive a gift that will continue to give through the new year.
Adele, a long-time member of St. Hugh's, shared with me that in years past the people of St. Hugh's have gathered funds in the holiday season and participated in the Gifts for Life program of ERD. Neil (our Sr. Warden) and I now invite you to join us in making our St. Hugh's gift in 2014. ~daniel rondeau, vicar
